In collaboration with our friends at KCC Entertainment, Kelight was tasked with designing a lighting system that would transform the expansive 34,000sqm indoor theme park. With over 22 attractions, this park stands as the ultimate hub of fun and excitement within the mall, and our lighting design played a key role in bringing it all to life. Wanda Nanjing Theme Park into a fully immersive experience. From thrilling rides to beautifully themed zones, our lighting wasn’t just about illumination—it became a key part of the storytelling, enhancing every corner of the park and leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
The Challenge
Our challenge was to design lighting that gave each attraction its own distinctive identity while ensuring that the park as a whole felt visually unified. Every space needed to feel alive with immersive lighting that heightened the storytelling and pulled visitors deeper into the experience. Additionally, our designs needed to be implemented by local contractors, meaning we had to provide a lighting plan that was clear and easy to follow. We needed to ensure that our creative vision could be flawlessly executed, even from a distance, through detailed designs and visualizations.
The Solution
The challenge is to provide clients with a clear vision of how the design will look early in the process. This goes beyond just presenting artist concepts and renderings—it’s about ensuring that these visuals represent feasible solutions that are both visually striking and technically achievable. Kelight assists KCC Entertainment in developing artist impressions, ensuring that the lighting design is both visually stunning and technically feasible. To ensure smooth execution by local contractors, we developed a comprehensive lighting plan complete with advanced visualizations. This gave decision-makers a clear vision of how the lighting would elevate the park’s atmosphere, allowing them to confidently move forward with the design. Our detailed instructions ensured that local teams could seamlessly bring the lighting system to life, staying true to our original concept.
The Result
Kelight, working closely with KCC Entertainment, designed a dynamic, customized lighting system that brought the park to life. Using cutting-edge LED technology and programmable lighting sequences, we created a unique lighting atmosphere for each zone, making every ride and area feel distinct while maintaining a cohesive visual flow across the park. The end result was a park that truly sparkled with light and energy. Kelight’s lighting design, in partnership with KCC Entertainment, created an immersive, magical environment that made Wanda Nanjing Theme Park a must-see destination. Each attraction had its own personality, and the entire park felt like a journey through different worlds—day and night. Thanks to our collaboration with KCC Entertainment and our clear, executable designs, the park’s lighting not only exceeded expectations but also continues to captivate visitors year after year.
