For the Dubai Vertical Hills Coaster, Kelight partnered with Holovis to create a pre-show for a new rollercoaster that would leave visitors breathless before the ride even began. Crafting lighting that elevates the storytelling, we transformed the waiting area into an immersive, pulse-pounding experience, bringing the high-energy pre-show to life..
The Challenge
Designing more than just lights—our challenge was to craft a lighting concept that not only enhanced the creative vision of the pre-show but also delivered a design package that contractors could implement with ease. Every detail had to be meticulously planned, ensuring it was both awe-inspiring and executable. From the intricate lighting sequences to the technical integration with show control systems, we needed to provide a flawless design that worked seamlessly with the other elements of the experience.
The Solution
We turned imagination into reality by designing a custom lighting solution built on LED technology and integrated illuminated elements into the set. The lighting worked in perfect sync with the show control system, creating an interactive experience that flowed effortlessly with the visuals and story. Every flash, glow, and fade was precisely programmed to match the dramatic moments of the pre-show. The audience is fully immersed in high-resolution video screens, a moving platform, and dynamic lighting that create a suspenseful narrative arc, pulling guests deeper into the story as a storm begins to unfold around them.

A pre-show that doesn't just set the tone—it cranks up the excitement to 11.
